THE AWAJUN MINI ENKEPA BEADED NECKLACE, a sexy organic necklace made with seeds, is an exquisite traditional indigenous Awajún beaded necklace designed and handmade with kumpia, chichao, tuju and red huayruro seeds by the Awajún artisans in the Peruvian Amazon. Wear this striking long and substantial beaded necklace to add style and statement to any evening dress or day ensemble. The tiny kumpia seeds are dyed with plant dyes to achieve the red, orange, yellow and other colors. Dyes come from seeds, roots, leaves and barks found in the rainforest ground.

This design is perfect for those who love wearing the larger enkepa, but may not want to wear such a big statement piece every day. It's an elaborate, narrower design.

The huayruro* seed is a good luck seed. The red and black colors symbolize good fortune and abundance, as well as balance. The seeds are said to protect from negativity and bring happiness. In the Peruvian Amazon, newlyweds and newborns often receive huayruro seeds as gifts for a happy and prosperous life.
